He holds his hands up, palms facing her in a sort of warding gesture. "What if I hurt her?" he asks, eyes going huge. "She's so fucking little." Caleb probably can't hurt her just by holding her the way Alex is — it's not like he's Hulk levels of strong, or anything — but that fear is still there, like she's so fragile and delicate he might shatter her just by cradling her in his arms.
