"She's not sleeping," he says, even though her eyes are closed and she's so, so quiet and still. It feels like a bed he could lay on and just float away with. "I think she's just, like... enjoying being held and snuggled." He looks at Edie for a second longer, then at Alex, with puppy eyes and a huge smile. "Oh my god, Alex, you have a baby."
