Alex has been sort of absent for a couple of weeks, since her and Darlington finally got their acts together. "Keep it on," he teases. "Let a guy have a little mystery." Nova's not sure why it matters to him, since they both know better. But there's still a part of him that's convinced that if he goes too far, he'll end up back in a prison jumper. That shit imprints on a man's DNA.

"Hands to myself, no starting shit, no pissing off the talent?" Nova guesses. Like he'd think of doing anything stupid with Alex. Even if there weren't bouncers at the door, she'd probably have him out on his ass in seconds if he did her wrong.
