Lee's text comes through when she's just gotten out of the shower at Black Elm. Edie's at the apartment with her Nanny, and Alex had been planning on a night at home with a bottle of wine and her depression, celebrating her second birthday in Darrow without Danny to celebrate it with her. Still, when Lee asks if she's home because he wants to drop off her gift, she texts him back to let him know where she is.

A little while later, when the doorbell sounds, she opens the kitchen door in sweats and a t-shirt, barefoot, her damp hair twisted back from her face.
