"Aren't you always?" she says, making a soft, surprised sound when he hoists her like that. She wraps both legs around his waist, tousling her fingers in his hair. She loves it when he's down on his knees, when he's serving, but she loves this, too. She loves how strong he is, and how safe she always feels, despite it.
