"A real shame," he answers, although there's a twinge of guilt when he says it. Alex is taken, officially, and Eddie isn't. There's Jules, he's seen her a few times and he's had a lot of fun with her, but every time he's with Chrissy, that little crush from middle school seems to take up more space inside of him.

So maybe this is best. Having that space, being just friends, because he has a lot of shit whirling around inside him.
